An Invitation

Haven't had much time to blog this week, but didn't want to go two weeks without a posting.

If you would like to get in on the ground floor of some of Dr. Gaither's upcoming projects, please join us and several other quilters/historians/artists for a planning meeting to discuss quilts on Carr's and Sparrow's Beaches as well as plans to expand the Black Watermen of the Chesapeake quilt to become a multi-part series documenting the history of African American maritime culture throughout the state of Maryland. The meeting will be held at the Bates Legacy Center, 1101 Smithville St., Annapolis, MD at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 18 August 2010. This planning session is open to the public. We would like to have as many people participate as possible to make this a true community effort.
